Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use leatherbound.ink or buy from Leatherbound (“we”, “us”), a leather workshop run by Silas Perry in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. By placing an order, you agree to these terms together with our Delivery & Returns, Warranty and Privacy Policy pages.

Handmade products

Every item is cut, stitched and finished by hand. Leather is a natural material, so grain, color, scars and texture vary from hide to hide and from the photos on this site. Screens also show color differently. These variations are part of the character of a handmade item and are not defects.

Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm it by email. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a material is no longer available or there was an error in pricing or the product information. If we cancel after you have paid, we will refund you in full.

Made-to-order and custom items

• Made-to-order items are built after you order them, using the leathers, thread and options you select. Please check your selections and any personalization text carefully before ordering.
• If you need to change or cancel a made-to-order item, contact us as soon as possible. Because materials are cut to your specifications, changes or cancellations may not be possible once work has begun.
• We may decline personalization requests that are offensive or infringe someone else’s rights, such as trademarks or logos you do not have permission to use.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars (USD) and may change at any time before you order. Shipping is shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Helcim and PayPal. Your bank may charge currency conversion fees.

Lead times and delivery

Lead times shown on the site are estimates, and the current estimate is on our Lead Time page. Shipping options, delivery times and duties are described on our Delivery & Returns page. Delivery times after dispatch depend on the carrier and customs and are not guaranteed.

Duties and taxes

For US orders, import duties are prepaid by us. For other countries, any import duties, taxes or fees charged on delivery are the responsibility of the recipient.

Returns and refunds

Unused, non-personalized ready-made items in their original packaging may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Made-to-order, custom and personalized items cannot be returned because they are made to your specifications. If you are not satisfied with an item, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue. Full details are on our Delivery & Returns page. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Warranty

Our products are covered by the Leatherbound warranty.

Intellectual property

The designs, photographs, text and other content on this site belong to Leatherbound. Please do not copy or reuse them without permission.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.
