    *Thread

    Matching thread to the lighter colored leather is generally recommended. For exotics, it's suggested to match the exterior. Note: As item is hand-sewn, thread color will be the same on both exterior and interior.

    Standard font is limited to capital letters only (max 2 of the same letter). The old style font is smaller, but more expansive allowing for upper and lower case letters as well as numbers and symbols.

    Please note the following:

    • Initials will be stamped in the inner bottom right corner for folding items and in the front bottom right corner for non-folding items, unless specified otherwise.
    • For items with the mini pocket addition, initials will be stamped in the center of said pocket
    • Personalization without foil may be very subtle on textured leathers, especially Sherpa & Epsom.
    • Foil may show premature wear compared with the rest of the item as it ages

    Please select this option for any non-Latin characters, like Chinese, Arabic, etc. A standard font & size will be chosen. If you wish for more control over the look, please choose the custom image option instead.

Design & Capacity

  • 6 card pockets
  • 2 floating pockets provide easy access to additional cards or cash
  • Bills can be placed behind the floating pockets, eliminating the need to fold them
  • Best suited for 6-14 cards + cash

Compared to the classic bifold, the advantages of this design are that it’s slimmer and it’s easier to access additional cards. The disadvantages are that cash and cards compete for space and that cash is more easily handled in the traditional design.

Construction

  • Hand sewn using the saddle stitch method
  • All edges are finely creased and polished to a smooth finish
  • Cash pocket and hidden pockets are lined with leather.

I employ both burnishing and hand painting in my work. I will choose a suitable edge treatment depending on the leathers chosen. If you’d like a specific edge treatment, please add your request to the order notes.

  • Polyester thread for superior abrasion resistance

Chèvre and Sherpa interiors are backed with reinforcement to prevent stretch and reduce bulk.

I placed an order for the modern bifold around Christmastime '19 and received the final product some short weeks later. The maker was readily communicative throughout the manufacturing and delivery process- I was never left in doubt with its progress. I am more than satisfied with the final product, and it exceeds my expectations both in durability and beauty. At the time of this review entry, I am thrilled to say that my wallet is one of the very examples pictured in advertisement of the model. It is every bit as beautiful as it is portrayed on the webpage. I would wholeheartedly recommend this craftsman to anyone who wants personal leather effects with a special touch.
