    Matching thread to the lighter colored leather is generally recommended. For exotics, it's suggested to match the exterior. Note: As item is hand-sewn, thread color will be the same on both exterior and interior.

    Standard font is limited to capital letters only (max 2 of the same letter). The old style font is smaller, but more expansive allowing for upper and lower case letters as well as numbers and symbols.

    Please note the following:

    • Initials will be stamped in the inner bottom right corner for folding items and in the front bottom right corner for non-folding items, unless specified otherwise.
    • For items with the mini pocket addition, initials will be stamped in the center of said pocket
    • Personalization without foil may be very subtle on textured leathers, especially Sherpa & Epsom.
    • Foil may show premature wear compared with the rest of the item as it ages

    Please select this option for any non-Latin characters, like Chinese, Arabic, etc. A standard font & size will be chosen. If you wish for more control over the look, please choose the custom image option instead.

Construction

  • Hand sewn using the saddle stitch method
  • Detailed edge work. Edges are finely creased, hand painted, and polished to a smooth finish
  • Wallet body is lined with leather

Edge paint color defaults to maker’s choice, which is typically matched to either exterior or interior. For special requests, please add an order note.

Passport Cover - Homerun!

My 3rd purchase from Silas and "consistent quality" should be in the name of the company. Given its shell cordovan and the high quality workmanship, I have no doubt I will pass this on to my son one day. And the color is unique usually only found on high-end brands, which this should be considered, without the extra cost or overboard branding. Take your time, work with Silas on what. you want and you'll end up with a handmade one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Great wedding gifts!

I purchased two passport covers as a wedding gift for a good friend of mine. It was easy to order and complete the transaction. Silas kept in touch with me through the process and updated me as he made them. It was awesome personalizing the leather with their wedding date and initials. The leatherwork is top notch! Gorgeous quality passport cover and amazing communication with the owner.

I spent the last month or so looking to find a beautiful portfolio for my S.O. and ended up on Leatherbound. In that time, I've conversed with the Silas with over 20 emails. From our conversation, I can say that he is a professional, both with his quality craftsmanship and with his communication detailing suggestions and responding to the needs that I wanted for the portfolio.

While I finalize my order for a custom portfolio, I ordered two passport covers. One with a whisky buttero exterior and natural buttero interior and another in rose buttero exterior/interior. The quality is very high and amazing for the price point I have paid for. The rose buttero was also leather that was not in stock and custom ordered and was perfect for my S.O.

In the end, I'm glad I found this website and feel that products I received are at a quality and price point are in a league that is untouchable for a larger-scale leathermaker. They feel like they are made to last and each of ours feels so personable and unique.

Thanks for these one-of-a-kind passport holders. It gives me no excuse not to travel now!
